蒸汽 Zhēngqì (Steam) . 1-Act Ballet
Beijing University Dance Academy
Contract Performances 2016-2020
蒸汽 Zhēngq (Steam) is a one act ballet about two couples intertwined in secrets and betrayals.  One spouse from each couple is involved in an illicit affair.  Their partners know the truth, but hide what they know, and their feelings. The betrayed spouses are inevitably drawn to each other due to shared trauma.  They fall in love with each other, but inexplicably, and tragically, they choose to not become betrayers like their spouses, and remain in their loveless marriages with the hope they will be loved again by their spouses at some point in the future.
"Midnight in Paris" . "Kesköö Pariisis" . 1-Act Ballet
Vanemuine Ballet Theatre in Estonia 2015 & 2016
International Baltic Ballet Festival in Latvia 2016
Midnight in Paris is a one act ballet, a love story, a lovers triangle, temptations, intrigues in the era of Romain Erte, Elsa Chiaparelli, Josephine Baker, and Salvador Dali. Shannon's choreography emanates from animal impulse launched by the music.  The characters I created are great artists and their works, prototypes torn asunder in his language of movement.  If the people and creatures on Dali’s paintings could speak in the language of dance, they would be very Shannon-like.
